What Should I Expect When I Come to Church?

We trust you will be warmly received and blessed by gathering with us.  Below you will find a brief description of each of our services so that you can know what to expect.

Sunday School

Children and adults gather in the auditorium between 9:45-10:00 a.m. During this time we typically hear a chapter of the Bible read. At the end of this time we dismiss everyone to their regular classes. Our classes range from 2 years old to senior adults. At around 10:30 the adult classes finish and we have a time of fellowship with coffee and refreshments before the morning service.  Other classes typically finish around 10:45 a.m.

Sunday Morning Worship

Our Sunday morning service usually begins at 11:00 a.m.  After highlighting some announcements from our church bulletin we begin with a call to worship (usually the reading of a portion of a Psalm) and prayer. The worship service generally involves congregational singing, the reading of Scripture, an offering, prayer, special music, and the preaching of the Word. The morning service is typically finished by 12:15 p.m.

Sunday Evening Service

Sunday evenings are a little less formal and involve the congregation's involvement in the choosing of hymns and Psalms. We encourage people to pick these for the benefit and edification of the church family. In addition to these aspects of the service we usually have a time of Scripture reading, an offering, and the preaching of the Word of God. Every month we celebrate the Lord's Supper together on a Sunday evening. We will also have missionaries from time to time who will give their presentations.

Wednesday Evening

On Wednesday evenings we gather for prayer, Bible reading, and our children and teen programs.  We give praises to God, take prayer requests, pray for the needs of our church and the world, and read a portion of Scripture. During the school year, children ages 4-5 learn about God in our Little Explorers program while children from 1st grade to 6th grade meet in our Bible Explorer's program. Teens also meet during this time to learn more about God's Word. Transportation is available for these programs.
